The Senior Director, Global Medical Affairs Metrics and Reporting will lead cross-functional efforts for designing and deploying scalable measurement frameworks and tech-powered solutions that align to global medical affairs priorities. Reporting to the Vice President, Global Medical Affairs Medical Adoption, this leader will build the Global Medical Affairs Metrics department, oversee the design and implementation of a medical metrics infrastructure inclusive of tools, resources, process, and governance. They will also ensure the effective integration of GenAI, machine learning, and analytical insights into core medical activities and systems.
This role is ideal for a visionary leader with a background in medical affairs and a proven track record of driving digital transformation using data science, behavioral analytics, and intelligent automation in complex, matrixed environments.
This position is based in Raritan, NJ, USA and requires a minimum of 3-days per week on site.
Key Duties include:
- Metrics Architecture: Build medical metrics capabilities by leading the design and co-creation of standardized worldwide medical metrics across, ensuring alignment with strategic imperatives, regional diversity, functional relevance, and senior/executive management needs. Ensure all metric systems adhere to privacy, compliance, and ethical standards globally.
- Tool Innovation: Oversee the development and implementation of GenAI-powered solutions for scientific content generation, HCP engagement intelligence, and internal knowledge optimization. Ensure all systems and models adhere to privacy, compliance, and ethical AI standards globally.
- Measurement Innovation: Establish advanced analytics models (e.g., behavior segmentation, before-after impact modeling, ONA) to quantify scientific engagement effectiveness and medical value.
- Tech-Enabled Strategy: Drive adoption of high-performance technologies (e.g., visual dashboards, reports predictive engines, auto-summarization tools) to improve speed, accuracy, and storytelling of medical insights.
- Influence and Thought Leadership: Represent J&J in internal and external forums on Medical AI and Metrics transformation. Collaborate with global, regional, and local Medical Affairs teams, Commercial, R&D, HEOR, Legal, Compliance, and IT teams to co-develop scalable, insights-driven digital capabilities and platforms. Drive decision making for and adoption of worldwide, Global-led capabilities across the regions and local geographies.
- People Leadership (Direct and Indirect): Provide people management to assigned direct reports including workload assignment and capacity management, professional development, and HR administrative responsibilities. Provide leadership, direction, and change management expertise to cross-functional project/initiative teams and third-party vendors/consultants as necessary. Manage workload of assigned contractors/contingent labor according to contracted terms.
