About the role

Description

Yale University’s School of Medicine, Division of Cardiac Surgery invites applications for the position of Chief of Cardiac Surgery. We are seeking an individual with strong leadership qualities and a record of accomplishment as a clinician and/or researcher to lead a Divisionwith a faculty possessing broad expertise that encompasses all areas of cardiac surgery. The Division of Cardiac Surgery at Yale is a highly recognized clinical and academic department.

The Division of Cardiac Surgery offers an excellent level of care for patients. We provide expansive services for the surgical treatment of the whole breadth of cardiac surgery. This is an excellent opportunity for a surgeon interested in academic and clinical opportunities and will be expected to participate in clinical care, teaching, and university service. The individual is also expected to lead quality initiatives and adhere to a high standard of care as outlined by STS defined outcomes.

The candidate should have an established track record of excellent patient care and clinical outcomes We expect the candidate to make significant advances in the field of cardiac surgery and contribute positively to the overall teaching and research goal in our Division, the Department of Surgery, and Yale School of Medicine and Yale New Haven Health System.  Currently our faculty provide cardiac surgical services for Yale New Haven Health Hospital (adult and pediatric), the West Haven VA Medical Center and Bridgeport Hospital with plans to expand in other areas of Connecticut.  

 

 

 

Qualifications
