Warehouse Clerk Job Description

 

The individual’s key role is to ensure stacking scheduling and quality requirements are met across all finished good product in a professional manner, which includes computer system knowledge, data entry, assisting in coordinating cycle and yearend inventory counts. This role will support the Warehouse Supervisor in a professional manner. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Creating production schedules. 
  • Create shipping tags for finished goods pallets. 
  • Check QA Hold information to properly disposition product. 
  • Use manual pallet jack and forklift as needed. 
  • Provide support for employees, team leads, and clerks on stacking information. 
  • Ensure all sample cases are being given to QA Lab from Stacking area 
  • Properly label rework and ship to corresponding 3PL when needed. 
  • Supports Supervisors/Managers with Quality issues that may arise. 
  • Comply with all regulatory agencies, HACCP, GMP, and other industry requirements. 
  • Ensure that products processed for shipping are delegated to carrier with assistance of Shipping Clerk. 
  • Ensuring accuracy of inventory before and after stacking process.  
  • Investigating inaccuracies with assistance of Supervisor and/or clerks in a timely manner. 
  • Accurately documenting all information with visibility to all that need the information. 
  • Flexibility to work weekends or overtime as needed. 
  • Assist in other areas as needed and perform any other duties as assigned by leadership. 
  • Communication with Quality, Production, Warehouse, Supervisors, Managers, R&D, Finance, Inventory and others to ensure accuracy of all finished goods.  

 

Required Skills and Abilities:  

  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience in a warehouse environment with some inventory knowledge. 
  • Associate’s Degree or partial college education preferred. 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer orders, inventory reports, operating procedures to ensure documents are audited and accurate.
  • Ability to generate reports and business correspondence. 
  • Excellent computer skills with advanced experience in Microsoft Office and specialized inventory control software programs preferred. 
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to represent company in an upbeat and professional manner. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written. 
  • Must have strong attention to detail. 
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs. 
  • Must be self-motivated, dependable, and a team player.
