Job Description
Sobi is currently seeking a Sr. Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to join our Finance team. This position is responsible for forecasting, variance analysis, business partnering with non-finance personnel and maintenance and design improvements to our financial planning system. This occurs within a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.
This is a HYBRID ROLE - candidates need to be located close to the Waltham, MA office and able to come into the office 2-3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Key point of contact for global employees in North America for FP&A
- Communicates regularly with overseas finance stakeholders regarding shared interests in North America
- Finance business partner to G&A functions and our Canadian entity
- Key contributor to recurring Budget and Forecast processes
- Month-end close activities include tool prep for variance analysis, some PO tracking and accruals
- Contributes to administration of financial planning system (Adaptive Planning)
- Contributes to quarterly transparency compliance reporting
- Ad hoc projects are the norm
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, MBA a plus
- 4+ years’ experience in the life sciences industry
- Superior MS Excel skills; excellence in PowerPoint a plus
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning a plus
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member in a time sensitive environment
- Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail and a desire to learn
- Committed to collaboration and succeeding in a team environment
Additional Information
The base salary pay range for this role is $135,000-$180,000 annually. Actual pay for this position will take into account factors such as experience and location. In addition to a base salary, this position is also eligible for a competitive 401k match, short and long-term incentives, medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD and life insurance benefits, in addition to other health and wellness programs and offerings.
