Job Summary
PSEG is looking for a Summer 2026 IT Intern - Utility Operations Technology – CMMS.
This job involves working as a(n) intern supporting the CMMS PI system (time-series monitoring system) on data governance and smart grid technology initiatives where the incumbent will utilize a broad knowledge of information technology and engineering practices acquired through previous coursework and on the job training.

Job Responsibilities
Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:
- Collect, summarize, and analyze various operational, non-operational time-series data for electric inside and outside plant assets.
- Create thousands of data points, maintain large sets of data, and modify points
- Responsible for PI data management which includes administration, maintenance, testing, and reporting
- Must be detailed oriented and have experience working with large data sets
Job Specific Qualifications
- The successful incumbent(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Information Technology, or Business Administration and graduating between December 2026 and May 2029.
- Students graduating in May/June 2026 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2026.
- PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.
- Incumbents must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration.
- Because this position will require traveling to various PSEG locations, a valid driver's license and a safe driving record is required.
- Compliance with the Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.
Desired:
• 3.0 GPA or above.
• Majoring in Engineering (Any Discipline), IT (Data Science, Computer Science, Business Information Systems), or Business Administration
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with any of the following programs: Microsoft Office, Visio, and SQL
• Optional but preferred: PowerBI or data visualization tools
• Self-starter with the demonstrated ability to learn new technical concepts quickly
• Detail oriented and demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• This position will require traveling to various PSEG locations, therefore, a valid driver's license and a safe driving record is required
