The Team:
This role is based within Spencer Clinic, a Mental Health Inpatient Unit that offers consumers 19 inpatient beds, including 2 bed high-dependency unit. Spencer Clinic is located within the North-West Regional Hospital, barely 5 minutes from Burnie's CBD.
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will contribute to our consumers health outcomes by working within an effective multidisciplinary team through their recovery journey. No two days are the same in mental health. Some days may be structured with planned duties and others may involve responding to an emergency and thinking on your feet. But we’ll make sure you’re fully inducted and welcomed into our team.
The Role:
- Provide support and assistance to the nursing and medical staff in relation to the care and safety of patients at the Spencer Clinic.
- Participate in the maintenance of a safe, clean and tidy ward environment.
- Promote the principles of quality health care and customer service and foster a positive environment for patient outcomes.

Details of appointment:
Permanent part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 48 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $67,193 - $70,993 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
