Job Description: 

Provide product and quality assurance support to Big Safari Programs, to include ground and flight test of special mission systems

 

Primary Duties:

  • Provide product and quality assurance support to the 645 AESS for assigned FMS Programs
  • Support inspections for Line Replaceable Units (LRU), mechanical and electrical elements (racks, consoles, installation) for aircraft and ground special mission systems
  • Review and verify all contractors engineering relating to system level design to include but not limited to; software, hardware, aero, and installation for assigned FMS programs.
  • Review and make recommendations concerning ground and flight test plans and documents for assigned FMS program
  • Participate as a crewmember on test and verification flights as the primary Big Safari test representative for assigned programs
  • Assist with the development and review of Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSP); coordinate ILSP approval between appropriate Command Headquarters and field agencies
  • Support Quick Reaction Capabilities (QRC) system installation on Big Safari managed programs to include design, installation, test and verification, operational performance, maintenance, and documentation
  • Travel to CONUS and OCONUS operating locations as required to install equipment, complete maintenance bulletins(MB), update software sets and provide customer support to the end users as required
  • Assist in the development, verify and approve maintenance bulletins to add operational capability or resolve reliability/maintainability issues for assigned programs
  • Participate in software configuration board, validating software discrepancies, setting repair priorities
  • Review daily mission status reports from the end users organizations to detect deficiencies in system performance and spot negative trends in reliability and maintainability

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Fifteen years’ experience in support, operation, maintenance and sustainment of military systems
  • Five years active duty as ground and in-flight maintenance on ISR systems
  • Basic understanding of software operating and data basing systems
  • Ability to acquire Top Secret/SCI security clearance
  • Ability to acquire a Class 3 FAA flight physical for inflight duties
