Cornerstone Care is seeking a Director of Revenue Cycle
OSITION SUMMARY: The Revenue Cycle Director reports to the CFO and is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all revenue cycle activities with a goal of maximizing reimbursement in a cost-effective manner that is in compliance with federal, state and payer-specific billing requirements. The Director will oversee the overall policies, objectives, and initiatives of Cornerstone Care’s revenue cycle activities
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises Billing Manager, Medical Coder and Financial Counselor.
- Provides leadership and direction to maximize revenue and ensure compliance with all appropriate regulatory bodies.
- Assists in developing and implementing strategic plans and goals to maximize the efficiency of the revenue cycle.
- In tandem with the CFO, reviews and revises policies and procedures while focusing on process improvement and revenue enhancement.
- Implements and oversees new programs to reduce billing errors and maximize reimbursement.
- Leads development and reporting of revenue cycle key performance indicators.
- Participates in analysis of new program / expansion revenue feasibility.
- Investigates and serves as expert resource on compliance issues surrounding billing and coding.
- Assists with provisions and analyses of monthly trend reports. Provides training and feedback to management on the use of these reports to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and goals.
- Monitors revenue cycle reports and provide feedback to service programs on an ongoing basis. This includes charge capture, coding analysis, accounts receivable aging, denials, payment variance analysis, claim hold reports, credit balances and adjustments.
- Performs cost benefit analysis for decision points including multiple outcomes.
- Understands security issues with electronic health records.
- Maintains privacy and confidentiality.
- Ensures the revenue cycle employees receive additional training as needed on various reimbursement functions.
- Maintains knowledge of all modules relating to the medical, dental billing systems and reports to understand the cause and effect of all functions.
- Assists CFO in analyzing insurance contract renewals.
- Participates in various educational/training activities, as required.
- Communicates effectively with management and practitioners and provides regular updates.
