Year End Bonus

As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent experience
  • must be at least 20 years old
  • must have a valid driver's license and maintain an excellent driving record
  • at least five (5) years commercial electrical construction experience
  • Journeyman Electrical license and maintenance/completion of continuing education requirements for active status
  • knowledge of plans and specifications
  • knowledge of material and methods used in electrical wiring and equipment installations
  • knowledge of the fundamental principles of electricity
  • expanded knowledge of the National Electrical Code and associated rules, regulations, ordinances and standards
  • analytical, technical, mathematical, communication, and time-management skills
  • basic computer skills using the Internet, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • willingness to travel
  • willingness to work a variable work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • willingness to attend seminars, conferences, and continuous education classes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • ten (10) or more years of commercial electrical construction experience with five (5) of those years as a superintendent
  • Master Electrician License
  • State Certified Electrical license and State Electrical Inspector license
