Business Performance Development function within Parts & Field Service business unit is responsible for driving continuous improvements of end-to-end businesses processes and business applications. We proactively monitor and analyse performance of our operations to find improvement opportunities and build modern, scalable, and fit-for-purpose solutions in partnership with our IT organisation. We utilize Operational Excellence, Service Design and Agile methodologies in our day-to-day activities.

 

We are now looking to welcome a motivated and results-driven Development Manager, Sales Applications to our Business Performance Development function. This role is offered as a permanent contract and the preferred location is Helsinki, Finland, but other Wärtsilä locations in Finland can also be considered. In accordance with our hybrid work model, you will be able to work partially remotely.

 

 

What does this role entail?

 

In a rapidly evolving landscape, data is the new fuel for efficiency and customer interactions are shifting online. As we strive to optimize our sales and delivery processes and elevate systematic lifecycle data to the next level, we are embarking on an exciting journey.

 

Wärtsilä core Sales and Delivery processes are based majorly on Salesforce.com and SAP platforms. Salesforce is used for managing customer relations and sales pipeline, understanding customer needs, preparing offers, managing order management, and resource planning for service jobs, but not only limited to these. Wärtsilä Salesforce is widely benchmarked, and we are proud to have one of the largest Salesforce implementations in Finland, managed entirely by our highly skilled in-house Salesforce experts.

 

In this role, your tasks will revolve around sales application development, gathering and prioritizing stakeholder needs, collaborating with other teams, applying agile principles, engaging with stakeholders and end users, supporting global deployment, and monitoring process performance. You will join a strategic program team to design, build, and launch a CPQ (Configure-Price-Quote) solution. As an ideal candidate, you are a collaborative and proactive team player, who approaches situations with an open mind, adapts quickly in a changing and agile environment, and can create structure, clarity, and results in transparent way.

 

 

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Participating in the designing, building and launching of our CPQ (Configure-Price-Quote) solution.

• Acting as the Product Owner of the new sales applications delivered by the strategic program and defining the product roadmap.
• Gathering, defining, prioritizing, and driving the development of new features and improvements in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Collecting and clarifying the needs of stakeholders and translating them into a product backlog.
• Collaborating with other agile teams, architects, and development teams to design, build, and deploy value-adding increments to end users in a timely manner.
• Applying agile principles to maximize productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Engaging with stakeholders and end users continuously to understand needs and validate solution designs throughout the development phase, ensuring higher buy-in and securing adoption.
• Supporting stakeholders in the global deployment of implemented features, including organizing trainings and ensuring training materials are available.
• Monitoring and analysing process performance and enabling required reports and dashboards in Salesforce and/or Power BI.

 

As an ideal candidate, you have the below skills and experience:

 

• IT Development Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with IT development, including familiarity with IT processes, tools, technologies, data models, and integrations.

 

• Salesforce Experience
  • At least 3 years of experience with Salesforce.com.

 

• Agile and Service Design
  • Proficiency in applying and facilitating agile methodologie
