Position Overview:
Maintains the local assigned facility as a member of the Regional Maintenance Team. Completes all Preventative Maintenance on equipment and building which includes HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Vehicles and Landscaping. Completes work orders as assigned by supervisor at the request of programs occupying the facility. Works to keep the facility in good operational order to serve the programs. Supports the management team by providing input into projects and methods. Completes scheduled site inspections as required by licensing and accreditation organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Completes Preventative Maintenance tasks for equipment including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Landscaping.
- Ensures that all Preventative Maintenance and related paperwork is completed for agency vehicles as required by accreditation.
- Completes work orders as requested by programs occupying the facility. Works with Maintenance Coordinator or Maintenance Supervisor on major items.
- Performs plumbing and electrical installation and repair work within their ability; replaces pipes, faucets, washers, etc. and replaces switches, fixtures and wiring. Repairs locks and hardware.
- Performs necessary maintenance required to keep the building within compliance of all local and state code and licensing requirements.
- Completes building inspections with local and state officials as requested. Completes periodic inspections as requested by management team as it relates to CARF Accreditation and licensing.
- Paints walls, floors, woodwork and fixtures.
- Completes periodic housekeeping items such as carpet cleaning and scrubbing and waxing tile floors.
- Oversees heating and cooling plants. Replaces air conditioner and air handler filters. Notifies Maintenance Coordinator or Maintenance Supervisor concerning need for major repairs.
- Performs other duties related to the essential duties of the position and within the individual’s capabilities as assigned by one’s supervisor.
