The first Year Chaplain Resident functions as a team member of the Spiritual Care Department and establishes collaborative relationships with the interdisciplinary care team, other professionals and the community. The estimated start date is August 11, 2025
What you will do
- Responsible for responding to the spiritual needs of patients, families and staff of all faith traditions throughout the organization
- Provides interfaith spiritual care through visitation, crisis intervention, prayers, sacraments as needed and appropriate, bereavement and end-of-life support, life-reviews, spiritual care consultation around existential questions, spiritual and religious rituals, worship services and staff support
- Must understand we exist for the patients and their care is the number one priority
- Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with admin, colleagues, patients and family members
Minimum Qualifications

- College degree BA/S, MDiv/equivalent, graduate studies in theology, religion, counseling, psychology or spirituality
- Be ordained or commissioned to function in ministry by an appropriate religious authority as determined by ACPE
- One unit of Clinical Pastoral Education from an accredited CPE center
