The Information Security Engineer is a critical member of our team, responsible for safeguarding the organization's digital assets, infrastructure, and operations. We are seeking a highly motivated, proactive professional with a demonstrated ability to quickly adapt and contribute effectively in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong initiative and a commitment to continuous learning, collaborating closely with senior engineers to master emerging technologies and provide support across various projects.
This multidisciplinary position offers broad exposure within Information Security, enabling the selected individual to develop expertise in areas aligned with their interests and organizational needs. Qualified applicants will bring foundational technical experience in Windows and Linux systems administration, antivirus and endpoint protection management, digital certificate administration, and automation via scripting. The successful candidate will demonstrate solid technical skills, analytical problem-solving abilities, and a forward-thinking mindset essential for the implementation and ongoing maintenance of robust security controls in a complex enterprise environment
This is a remote position open to candidates located within the United States.
Job Requirements
• Provide support for daily operational requests within the security team, including responsibilities related to endpoint administration, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) management, vulnerability assessment and remediation, and other specialized security functions.
• Manage and optimize enterprise security tools to strengthen the organization’s overall security posture.
• Design, implement, and integrate security controls aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with IT and business leaders to establish and maintain security standards, policies, and procedures.
• Support Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, including incident response and escalation management.
• Automate manual processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce risk.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution of recovery operations.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex security and systems issues.
• Develop, document, and maintain security standards, policies, guidelines, and best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging security technologies and solutions.
• Stay informed on evolving cybersecurity threats, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
What your background should look like
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience administering and supporting Windows and/or Linux systems in an enterprise environment.
• Proficiency with security configuration and hardening standards (e.g., CIS, NIST, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience with at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
• Understanding of networking technologies and protocols.
• Demonstrated passion for technology and a commitment to staying current with emerging security trends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of on-premises datacenter environments, cloud infrastructure, and hybrid integrations.
• Ability to design, plan, and execute complex environmental changes.
Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience managing and supporting next-generation antivirus (NGAV) solutions.
• Experience with Azure AD, Microsoft Azure, and/or AWS environments.
• Hands-on experience with CrowdStrike, Trend Micro, or equivalent endpoint security platforms.
• Familiarity with Privileged Access Management (PAM) tools, including Microsoft LAPS.
• Advanced scripting proficiency (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
• Experience within manufacturing or engineering industries, with exposure to security technologies commonly used in operational technology (OT) and industrial control system (ICS) environments.
• Experience working in a global enterprise environment.
• Experience conducting software evaluations and build vs. buy analyses.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
