Medication Reconciliation Technician - WCMC Pharmacy - Full Time - 8 Hour - Variable Shift

Job Description:

The primary duties of the Medication Reconciliation Pharmacy Technician is to provide support to the Hospitalist Physicians and Hospitalist Liaison Nurses by collecting and updating current / prescribed medication intake for admitted patients, in addition to, documenting in EMR - Epic, the patient's family and social history. Pharmacy Technicians work under the supervision of a registered Pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered Pharmacist. Technicians interact with patients, family, and other health care providers as appropriate and under strict accordance with standard, written procedures and guidelines.

Education:

• High School Graduate or Equivalent Required

• College Level Coursework Preferred

• Completion of Pharmacy Technician Program Preferred

• Coursework Mathematics Preferred

• Coursework Typing Preferred

• Coursework General Science Preferred

Experience:

• 2 years Pharmacy - Inpatient Pharmacy Technician Preferred

Certifications/Licensures:

• Pharmacy Tech - California Board of Pharmacy Required

• CPhT Pharmacy Technician - PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Required

Work Shift:

08.0 - 08:00 - 16:30 No Waive (United States of America)

Pay Range:

$33.49 - $45.20

Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.
Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it.
