Summary

SRP is seeking a motivated College Intern to support our teams while gaining handson experience in a collaborative, missiondriven environment. This internship offers students the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to realworld projects that support SRP’s commitment to delivering reliable, sustainable water and power services. Interns will work closely with experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful work, and develop technical and professional skills relevant to their field of study. The role is designed to foster learning, teamwork, and innovation while providing exposure to SRP’s operations and culture. This is an excellent opportunity for students who are eager to learn, grow, and make an impact while exploring a future career with SRP. 

The student intern will work daily scheduled hours based on the department’s needs, with a minimum requirement of 15 hours and up to 40 hours per week maximum.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in validating/analyzing meter data for submission to California ISO (CAISO)
  • Assist in validating CAISO Western Energy Imbalance Market (WEIM) Sub-Allocations
  • Provide support to Power Accounting staff around weekly market invoice processes including WEIM, RTOE & EDAM
  • Compile, analyze and distribute market settlement data for monthly and weekly reporting requirements
  • Respond to inquiries from various Corporate Accounting and Operations staff regarding market settlements and meter data
  • Validate accounting entries within accounting software (SAP)
  • Perform shadow settlement function within PCI software
  • Assist with validation of ETSRs and WEIM RTD market awards within PCI software
  • Requires proficiency in MS Excel and software navigation

Education

A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.

Additional Requirements and Qualifications

College level coursework (100 or higher) from an accredited institution is preferred. Management will evaluate college-level coursework individually to determine if it is applicable to the position and relevant to the required skills. Knowledge such as accounting, general administrative principles, communications, marketing, personnel, finance, training, business and other non-scientific fields.

 

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
