Pay: $30.47/hour + $4.50/hour (Health & Wellness Benefit)

SA-TECH supports the U.S. Army Sustainment Command’s Enhance Army Global Logistics Enterprise Logistics Support Services at Schofield Barracks, HI. We provide maintenance services in the form of above-brigade-level, field, sustainment, and limited depot-level maintenance support as well as transportation counseling services and handling passenger, equipment, and cargo movements for Army Field Support Battalion Hawaii’s (AFSBn-HAW) assigned tactical units and government affiliated civilian agencies.
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Specialist to join our team in support of our Munitions Division at the Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA) to work under the general supervision of the ASP Warehouse Specialist Lead under the purview of the resident Munitions Manager.
Primary duties include (but are not limited to):
- Performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.
- Verifies materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
- Routes materials to prescribed storage locations.
- Stores, stacks, or palletizes materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
- Rearranges and takes inventory of stored materials.
- Examines stored materials and reports deterioration and damage.
- Removing material from storage and prepares it for shipment.
- May be cross-utilized in other job areas to meet contract requirements, as necessary.
- May be assigned to support contract support requirements in a job-related area such as environmental, safety, and security.
Work Conditions:
- Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA), Hawaii.
- Position involves working primarily in an outdoor environment which includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions and will require the operation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) in performing various warehousing functions and obtain operators qualification.
- Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50+ lbs., pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching.
- Additional duties will require performing housekeeping of the work areas and the use of personal protective equipment.
Requirements
Education/Experience/Skills
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have five (5) years of applicable experience within the warehousing area.
- Must be able to be approved for DA 7281, compliance with the Lautenberg Amendment.
- Must be able to obtain local HAZMAT Familiarization Training, AMMO-31, AMMO-45, AMMO-63, AMMO-64, AMMO-67, AMMO-68, AMMO-75, AMMO-76, AMMO-108 and AMMO-112.
- Forklift Operator Certification, and other required functional training.
- Must possess excellent organizational/multitasking skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office software.
- Must be able to work overtime and may be cross-utilized in other job areas when required.
- Five (5) years of Army ammunition experience preferred.
- Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
- Must communicate effectively with people.
- Relocation assistance is not provided and candidates must reside within commuting distance or indicate a willingness to relocate at their own expense.
- Current Hawaii Driver’s License required; must be able to be insured through company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
