Business Development Representative (Hybrid)

The opportunity:

We are looking for a Business Development Representative for our application security product Mayhem. As a Business Development Representative you will be part of the Go-To-Market team focused on prospecting and qualifying leads through various channels to generate quality meetings for our Account Executives.

This is a hybrid role, so you will be required to be in our Boston office at least 3 days per week.

The ideal candidate for this position will have little to no experience in tech sales, but will be committed to starting a career in software sales. You will need to have tremendous drive, be coachable, articulate in your communication, and have a competitive spirit. 

You will be joining a team of people passionate about finding exploitable bugs before attackers can succeed. Our product Mayhem is high-tech, and battle-proven by the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency as the next wave in cyber.

 

What you will do:

• Use various research and prospecting strategies such as cold calling, email, and social media to lead initial outreach to contacts in our target audience.
• Identify the needs and challenges of the prospective customer.
• Schedule qualified demos for Account Executives.
• Be a subject matter expert and evangelist for our Mayhem products. 

 

You are someone who:

• Has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, IT, or related field.
• Brings 0-6 months of experience in a cold calling role, no experience is fine. 
• Demonstrates exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Has strong time management and organizational skills.
• Is coachable, demonstrates internal drive and a competitive spirit are a must.
• Strong interest in cyber security is a plus, but not required.
