Job Description
The Senior Financial Analyst Participation Set-up and Process Analytics will interpret and set up Participation and Global Royalties deals in the Participations and Residuals system (PARIS) and assist with the design and execution of efficiency projects for the Financial Contract Administration and Reporting group (FCAR) at NBCUniversal.
This individual will assist with process enhancement initiatives across the group in alignment with the objectives set forth by FCAR leadership. This individual will be a key member of the team providing analysis and helping to maximize productivity, while ensuring quality throughout the entire reporting process. This position will require a proactive approach to problem solving, as well as excellent research, communication and follow through skills. Understanding of participations and residual agreements and related calculations is preferred.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform contract analysis, interpretation and set up as it relates to Participations and Global Royalties.
- Liaise between Financial Contract Administration and Financial Contract Reporting
- Help to create and communicate metrics to ascertain success of projects as well analyze department efficiency
- Assist with process improvement directives and ensure new processes are aligned and in compliance with various stakeholders (legal affairs, business affairs, tax, IT, AP)
- Provide a proactive approach to driving process improvements that increase efficiency and productivity
- This role may assist with building and maintaining financial models and 3rd party share forecasts and may be asked to perform various other ad hoc analysis.
- This role may assist with budgeting and management of participation and residual payments
Qualifications
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years accounting and/or finance experience in the entertainment industry.
- Experience with participation reporting and contract interpretation preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint required
- Must meet deadlines and be willing to work overtime, as necessary
- Must be able to think strategically with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
