Verdantas is a national consulting group seeking a talented Environmental Engineer to join our team in the Orlando, FL Office.

We are seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in advancing our environmental initiatives. As an Environmental Engineer, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with professional experts to make a difference in the communities that we live in.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs complex field tasks, including data measurement and collection, operation and maintenance of remediation systems, troubleshooting, construction observation, and environmental drilling oversight
- Coordinates internal resources and subcontractors
- Reviews regulations and standards to conduct technical studies and carries out project design and permitting work
- Prepares field notes and related documentation in accordance with company standards
- Prepares submittals, including proposals, estimates of cost, regulatory and client submittals, regulatory permit applications, and design packages
- Maintains and runs reports using internal databases
- Retrieves necessary data using online databases, off-line records, and other means
- Applies knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and regulatory programs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering
- 5-8 years of relevant experience with at least one year of HEC Software (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS) experience
- EIT or PE certification required
- Experience developing a fully integrated design package and working with AutoCAD in a professional environment
- Excellent written and research skills
- Ability to conduct fieldwork with some heavy lifting
- Proficient with MS Office suite of products, database experience preferred
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training a plus
- Previous consulting experience is a plus
- Must have a personal vehicle for independent transportation to work sites
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
- Must be able to obtain security clearance
