Job Description

Position Summary

This position will be based out of INX’s West Chicago, IL at the R&D center or Huntsville, Alabama facility.  Coordinates projects for INX Digital in the development of inks and printing system hardware to drive and deliver key projects on time and to specification. Prioritizes projects and creates a Project Roadmap for individual projects. Reports to Vice President of Digital Division. Works with Marketing, Sales, Product Management, R&D (ink and printing system hardware), Operations, senior management, customers, and others to ensure deliverables are on time and to specification.

As the Project Manager, Digital, you will be responsible to:

  • Work with multidisciplinary teams (Marketing, Sales, Product Management, R&D, Operations) to drive and deliver key projects on time and to specification.
  • Maintain detailed project plans to ensure key tasks are identified and that the critical path is understood and addressed.
  • Maintain high-level Project Roadmap of projects to communicate progress in key project milestones to senior management and digital teams.
  • Work with teams to assess resource allocations required to deliver projects and other key activities, with an eye on ensuring correct activity prioritization.
  • Drive and adapt the Stage Gate Process as part of the project management activity.
  • Work hand-in-hand with Product Management to maintain an understanding of project priorities.
  • Troubleshoot problems
  • Create project timelines and works to ensure the demands of competing projects’ schedules are prioritized and met.
  • Estimate project costs and gathers information related to financial justification for projects.
  • Review and mitigate project risks.
  • Travel up to 20% - 40% within the US and possibly international

Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4-year college or university in chemistry, engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years’ project management experience.  Seven years’ project management experience preferred.
  • Experience with ink jet ink and hardware preferred.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various stakeholders
  • Advanced knowledge/experience in Microsoft Office Suites, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint
  • Proven experience and a background successfully completing large and complex projects on time and within budget
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must be available and willing to travel to up to 20 - 40% travel to customer locations in the US and possibly international

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider it a plus if you have:

  • Formal certification in Project Management (from PMI or equivalent Project Management Association) a plus.
