Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Warsaw based Associate Director who will help us realise our growth ambitions and will take a key role in developing and delivering business development strategies. This role is client facing, working within a professional and ambitious team, where you will receive excellent support together with exposure on exciting projects.
Scope of the role
- To lead business development activities aiming towards accelerating the growth and strengthening further market position
- To build on strong relationships with clients through interaction and cross-functional team members. The job requires the holder to build trust with clients, industry partners and colleagues, and maintain our “One Business” ethos.
- To increase regional market share and influence within companies operating and investing in the region
- To ensure that client objectives are met through the delivery of an effective cost & project management service from pre contract to handover
Key accountabilities
- Taking responsibility for identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities in the market
- Lead on market facing activities facilitating growth
- Lead and manage preparation of service delivery proposals for identified opportunities.
- Implementation of agreed-upon key performance indicators
- Taking responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
- Working with Poland management team to set ambitious, yet achievable targets enabling increase in regional market share
- Identifying and acting upon cross-selling opportunities.
- Identify and understand areas of opportunity and development and ensure early awareness of upcoming investment in projects by clients and be able to early engage
- Building/developing business relationships with new and existing clients.
- Work with management team and contribute to defining strategy for developing business in Poland.
- Taking a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
- Identification and implementation of initiatives, innovation and efficiency opportunities agreed with Poland Management Team
- Enable continued growth within target sectors
- Establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout project
- Project planning, including ensuring the production of the detailed project plan
- Leading and facilitating the overall cross-functional project team
Leading the establishment of the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters
Qualifications
- University degree in an engineering, architecture or business-related field;
- Minimum of 8 years professional experience of working within construction industry or related filed;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and intercultural skills are required, with proven ability to communicate with people at all levels
- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing business development strategies.
- Experience in leading market facing activities
- Experience in successful pursuit of new business opportunities
- Strong knowledge of the regional and local Polish market that enables you to establish and maintain customer contacts.
- Proactive, action-oriented and excellent organization skills with demonstrated ability to multitask.
- Ability to access key decision- makers within client organizations and industry partners
- Ability to manage an active network through professional bodies, charities and other industry groups
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- A thorough understanding of the total construction programme and project life cycle, from dealing with strategic issues at conception stage, through all of the operational stages to completion and post-project review
- Excellent knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management and value engineering
