What You Will Do
Unlock the next level of your professional journey by stepping into the role of a Database Engineer. In this dynamic position, you won't just develop and maintain SQL scripts – you'll be the architect behind the efficiency and performance that powers our users and products.
Collaborate with internal customers to evaluate and document existing business processes
Identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
Recommend, occasionally develop, and implement technology tools to streamline processes, enhance data quality, and drive business outcomes
Optimize data delivery and automate manual processes for efficiency
Design, develop and deploy reports and dashboards using tools such as PowerBI and Domo
Collaborate with the Data Team to design, develop, and maintain scalable databases, ensuring data integrity and security
Maintain and create data integration pipelines between business system applications, ensuring data quality and consistency across integrated systems
Perform regular database performance tuning and optimization
Document and communicate process changes effectively
Catalog and document data assets
Troubleshoot and resolve data issues promptly
What Skills & Experience You Should Bring
Demonstrable experience with SQL Server and Azure SQL
Experience with reporting tools like Power BI or similar
Basic programming experience with languages such as TSQL, Python, Visual Studio, and PowerShell
Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications
Thorough Documentation: Exhibit proficiency in creating meticulous documentation. Your knack for detail-oriented documentation will be instrumental in maintaining clear and accurate records of processes and interactions
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with global, cross-functional teams
BS degree in Computer Science or relevant field experience
Bonus Points for:
Experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, leveraging tools like Terraform
