About the role

Your Role

The Custom Product Implementation team supports the creation of Middle Market and Premier product deliverables including Facets product requirements, Summaries of Benefits and Coverage (SBCs), Contracts/Agreements and Evidence of Coverage (EOCs). The Product Implementation Analyst, Experienced will report to the Senior Manager of the Custom Product Implementation team. In this role you will be responsible for the analysis and gathering of custom product system requirements and custom artifact fulfillment. The position is responsible for assignments of high complexity while applying comprehensive understanding of the company’s healthcare products, functions and regulatory guidelines to create product requirement deliverables and plan documents for implementation and execution. 

 

Your Work

 

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departmental and business stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of product artifacts

  • Participate in work projection and planning efforts to accomplish objectives of all stakeholders

  • Accountable for tracking quality and progress on all work efforts and reporting to management

  • Develop and sustain detailed knowledge of all product types and plan designs

  • Understand and comply with Federal and State regulations, Blue Shield regulatory guidelines, and Blue Shield policies and procedures 

  • Research, resolve and provide root cause analysis of defects and incidents

  • Consult with business partners and project leads on operational process impacts related to the delivery of custom products

  • Participate in cross functional planning teams to implement new or revised complex products

  • Engage in user acceptance testing for internal product systems

  • Maintain internal desk level procedures and process maps

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 

  • Requires at least 3 years of prior relevant experience

  • Requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Requires competency in Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Proven ability to manage high volumes and multiple priorities in accordance with established timelines and quality measures

  • General knowledge of Blue Shield of California benefits as they relate to incumbent plans, Federal and State mandates, regulatory guidelines as well as Blue Shield of California policies and procedures

  • Prefer working knowledge of the end-to-end Core and Premier group implementation and renewal process and supporting applications.
