The Director of Accounting will be responsible for timely and accurate month end close and review of account reconciliations; recommending and developing policies, procedures, and systems to ensure proper accounting controls and audit compliance; and providing for the proper staffing and servicing of all operations within responsibility.
 
What we expect about you:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Adaptable and open to learn
• Minimum of six (6) years of accounting experience with four (4) years in public accounting and audit
• CPA
• Focus on continuous development and improvement
• Proven history of establishing and adhering to accounting controls and ensuring audit compliance
• Proficiency with ERPs and Excel required
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft, SAP, and IFRS preferred

 
As Director of Accounting, you will

• Lead team and it’s development; set team goals annually and monitor quarterly to ensure achievement
• Assist Sr. Director in leading the SSAE 18, interim, and year end audit, including communication with both internal and external auditors
• Lead the monthly close and account reconciliation process ensuring all published deadlines are met
• Review journal entries and lead the close checklist process
• Manage special projects for the CFO
• Review all balance sheet account reconciliations and provide commentary/direction on balances that indicate unusual fluctuations
• Identify and maintain key controls, document processes and controls, and with guidance from GHQ ensure changes are reflected in existing documentation
• Provide expertise and develop procedures to ensure department maintains strong internal controls environment in compliance with internal policies, IFRS, and GAP requirement

The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Director Finance is between $90,000 and $120,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience and geographical location.
