About the Role:
Responsible for providing mechanical services and conducting in-house repairs on laboratory assets and equipment throughout the facility and its grounds. Accountable for overseeing day-to-day operations related to the maintenance, installation, and repair of laboratory equipment. Also tasked with handling special projects as assigned to support the facilities and EHS teams._
Your Contributions:
Respond to help desk (SNOW) requests in a timely manner while providing a high level of customer service, communication, and support
Support special projects assigned to support relocations/reconfigurations, storage/inventory, set up of new services, laboratory requirements, commissioning and decommissioning of space, etc
Assist with internal employee and lab relocations
Independently perform general troubleshooting and repairs to the component level. Perform installations, calibrations, and planned maintenance with minimal technical direction
Perform routine repair, maintenance, and installation of furniture, fixtures, and equipment in both lab and office areas
Collaborate cross-functionally with Facilities and Research teams to ensure proper installation, maintenance, and compliance of lab equipment
Support and provide backup duties/tasks facilities
Monitor, order, and deliver gases for laboratory use
Perform daily, weekly building walks to monitor the general operation, safety, and condition of the lab facilities. Proactively communicate, plan, and implement solutions in conjunction with the operations team to resolve findings
Maintain parts stock and demand orders for preventative maintenance and repairs
Perform system service diagnostics on applicable products
Administer assigned work in a computerized maintenance management system
Maintain service records and ensure inventory is accurate
Process expenses accurately while following company policy
