Dental Outreach Hygiene Assistant

Description

Perform a variety of technical duties to assist Hygiene in the examination and treatment of patients; perform related duties involved in the care and maintenance of dental instruments, equipment, and supplies. In Dental Outreach, the hygienist and outreach hygiene assistant work together to provide care in non-traditional settings such as schools and long-term care facilities under the guidance of the sponsoring dentist. 

Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent, required.
2. 1 year of Dental Assisting experience preferred.
3. Completion of an accredited dental assistant program or relevant work experience preferred.
4. Certification in dental radiography (X-ray certification), preferred.
5. 1 year of FQHC experience, preferred. 
6. Bilingual in Spanish, preferred.
7. CPR certification for Health Care Providers, preferred.
8. Current vaccination record meeting ACIP Healthcare Workers Recommendations.
