Summary of Job Duties:

As a Post Doctoral Associate, this position requires to develop, implement, and manage standardized design and laboratory procedures for synthesizing bionanomaterials from natural resources, as well as their interfacing technology to develop "second-generation" multifunctional architectures at all scales and in all three dimensions, and examine and explore their utility for biological and biomedical engineering applications. Other responsibilities include managing the laboratory and projects, writing laboratory and project reports, preparing manuscripts for publication, assisting proposal writing, and graduate and undergraduate student supervision.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

PhD in materials science and engineering, biological engineering, nanotechnology, chemistry, or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications
A candidate, who is self-motivated and can work in a highly collaborative manner and has strong record of productivity with excellent communication and scientific writing skills, is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

This Post Doctoral Associate position requires substantial experiences with research and development of bionanomaterial production technology platform, designing and troubleshooting controlled integrations of bionanomaterials for the syntheses of hybrid nanocomposites, designing and conducting experiments for their biological/biomedical applications, and analytical techniques to assess properties of the products.
