The Role

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our team. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for general bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. They will work directly with the Senior Staff Accountant and Financial Controller. The Junior Accountant must have knowledge of general accounting principles, including maintenance of accounts receivable and accounts payable and, as well as the preparation of journal entries.

 

Key Responsibilities 

Owns Order to Cash

• Record sales orders and invoice customers in NetSuite daily
• Maintain customer contracts
• Follow-up with customers with outstanding collections frequently
• Manage our customer billings email inbox daily
• Liaise with customers to address billing questions and requests

Owns for Order to Pay

• Seek approvals for vendor bills
• Process vendor bills via the online banking portal and Teampay
• Ensure vendor bills and payments are recorded in NetSuite
• Review and record employee expense reimbursements from Expensify
• Liaise with vendors to address billing questions and requests

Assist/Perform timely month-end close for U.S. parent company and U.K. subsidiary

• Ensure completeness of the accounts receivable and accounts payable for the month-end close
• Perform and analyze balance sheet reconciliations

Assist with audit preparations for annual external audits

Complete ad hoc projects and duties or responsibilities as needed

Practical stuff we anticipate you having

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Entry-level experience in A/R and A/P, preferably in a SaaS tech environment
• Preferably proficient in Netsuite
• Knowledge of accounting principles based on GAAP and accounting best practices
• Technical accounting skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
