About the role

onsemi is seeking a Gas and Chemical Logistics Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be the management of site production chemicals. In this position, you are responsible for daily interactive management of commodity and specialty gas/chemical inventories ensuring quality and procurement standards.  You will provide outstanding support to multiple teams whose 24/7 operational focus is ensuring online material to supply production needs.   You will collaborate with production, quality, purchasing and engineering teams to maintain and improve chemical and gas inventory supply. .  

Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee daily operations, material transfer, ordering, and receiving operations of gas and chemical supply utilizing various inventory, process and quality systems
  • Leadership and participation in external/internal audits, safety, and quality initiatives
  • Drive improvements in inventory, ordering and invoice management 
  • Monitor inventory health, and provide first level communication to supply issues
  • Serve as an effective representative of the department’s strategic considerations to site groups and suppliers
  • Collaborate with material-focused departments to optimize material use, handling, and cost
  • Develop process documentation and operational standards to support departmental continuity
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards, procedures and complying with legal regulations
  • Resource management to ensure proper material handling equipment
  • Support the development of safety, quality, and cost savings projects to improve departmental system performance and reliability
  • Continually drive group culture towards greater safety, collaboration, communication, learning, and development
  • Follow and adhere to established safety practices and programs 
  • Solid computer skills 
  • Train and certify to site specific safety programs and training, including but not limited to respirator, SCBA, hazardous materials handling, material handling equipment, LOTO, Ladder Safety, DOT-RCRA
  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment, be self-motivated and able to interface effectively with other groups
  • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs minimum
  • Initiative and ability to follow-through on detailed problems
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal format
  • Experience, training, and/or education that supports the function of the position
  • Minimum high School or GED
  • 5 years semiconductor or logistics experience

Preferred:

  • Experience with Quality, Inventory, Purchasing systems
  • Experience in semiconductor facilities systems
  • Experience in hazardous chemicals and gases
