Job Description

Overall Job Summary: As a Regional Procurement Manager, this role will be responsible for the procurement strategy in the Americas Region and implementing the strategy together with your markets. The Region Procurement Manager is responsible for setting and developing the guidelines, standards and tools for procurement. The role will collaborate with the Regional Procurement, C&F Legal, market Construction & Facilities (C&F) teams and group expansion to secure the best procurement and support all markets and brands (H&M, COS and &Other Stories) within the Americas Region.

This position is based in NY, NY within our Expansion Function and reports to our Regional Head of Construction & Facilities.

Core Responsibilities includes but is not limited to*:

  • Work in close collaboration with the Regional Construction and Facilities team to set the procurement strategy for your markets and clearly communicate this to all stakeholders.
  • Manage strategic governance of market agreements through constant follow-up and strategic meetings with major vendors.
  • Set necessary goals and KPI’s for procurement and supplier management. Drive actions and follow-up results on a quarterly and yearly basis.
  • Participate in developing and keeping audits and assessments (material and execution) up to date regarding procurement.
  • Manage, with support from Group Expansion, procurement tools and templates (in LIMA, our Property Management System, and outside) such as the RFI/RFP templates and agreement templates.
  • Review, update and draft all general documentation to support the C&F teams in your markets, in partnership with the legal department.
  • Act as subject matter expert and support all parts of the organization in procurement related matters.
  • Co-create procurement guidelines and ensure markets are up to speed with the latest requirements.
  • Educate your market teams in the field of procurement and in negotiations.
  • Work closely with all your markets, ensuring understanding of the procurement strategy as well as goals and targets.
  • Work in close collaboration with Group Expansion to secure your regional procurement strategy is in line with the group strategy.
  • Represent your region in procurement forums and act as a speaking partner towards other functions.

Additional Accountabilities:

  • Operates within budget set per C&F Controller and Regional Head of C&F
  • Secure the lowest possible long-term cost for the group
  • Track and report procurement related savings
  • Responsible for procurement of construction/maintenance services of +$95 million annually

Qualifications

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, Architecture or Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant working experience.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Knowledge in MS Office, more specifically Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Teams.
  • Retail Construction and/or Facility Management background is highly desired.
  • Experience setting and implementing procurement strategies.
  • Experience working in an international, matrix organization with multiple stakeholders and seniority levels.
  • Strong business mindset, communicate well and comfortable in making decisions.
  • Ability to work strategically, by planning ahead and foresee opportunities and improvements.
  • Enjoy teamwork and effectively collaborates with a group of diverse people in order to achieve set goals and targets.
  • Required domestic and international travel up to 20% of time.

Hiring Range is $ 125,822 - $ 144,699 annually**
