What You’ll Get to Do:
- Work with internal and external agencies and ensure secure network access is available to US Army C5ISR campus
- Oversee the implementation of software patches to maintain the security posture of the organization
More About the Role:
- Responsible for continuous security awareness program, which increases the security culture of the organization and reduced overall risk
- Manage security systems, and analyze potential threats and vulnerabilities to client systems.
- Oversees technical incident response and remediation activities for client environments.
- Provide security analysis and consultation services for product, system and network architecture designs.
- Analyze complex network traffic and alerts to assess, prioritize and differentiate between potential intrusion attempts and false alarms.
- Publish reports and keep metrics for client systems.
- Conduct system audits to ensure specified system information is secure from individuals not accessed to the computer systems.
- Define and resolve 'information ownership' issues and identifies levels of access to the systems user population.
- Launch and track investigations to resolution.
- Analyze and review security findings and data.
- Identify trends and root causes of system failures or vulnerabilities.
- Develop tools for operational use and analyze current threats to information security and systems.
- Ensure that the Information Systems Security department's policies, procedures, and practices as well as other systems user groups are in compliance.
- Ensure that the physical environment of the computers and their terminals are properly secured.
- Conducts structured walk-throughs to ensure integrity of system applications.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Experience supporting IT environments utilizing large enterprise/products, including Cisco, Windows Active Directory, Windows Servers, SCCM, MS-SQL, etc
- Requires knowledge of HBSS and experience in its administration
- Experience with software patch activity and managing security in a Microsoft environment
- The position will require the ability to use data, analyze it to understand trends, then recommend and implement different courses of actions to ultimately improve processes and produce desired results
- Requires current Secret clearance
EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE
- Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent or minimum of 5 years of experience.
