This is a chance to play a key role in a fast-growing team while tackling one of our times existential challenges.</strong></p><h3>The Role</h3><ul> <li><strong>Design, implement, and maintain real-time, mission-critical software for C-UAS systems.</strong></li> <li><strong>Support board bring-up and peripheral integration; develop custom bootloaders, HALs, and drivers as needed; build guidance, navigation, and mission applications.</strong></li> <li><strong>Collaborate across the software lifecycle: define interfaces and test strategy, build diagnostics and tooling, and support verification and validation (SIL/HIL).</strong></li> <li><strong>Profile and debug on constrained targets to achieve deterministic, reliable behaviour; participate in architecture discussions and code reviews and improve tooling and CI.</strong></li> <li><strong>Work cross-functionally (controls, perception, avionics, mechanical) to deliver integrated system capabilities.</strong></li> <li><strong>Mentor junior engineers and set the standard for professionalism and effective SW development pratices</strong></li> </ul><h2>Required Qualifications</h2><ul> <li><strong>Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.</strong></li> <li><strong>Demonstrated experience developing in C for low-level ARM MCUs: bare-metal/RTOS, peripherals, drivers.</strong></li> <li><strong>Full proficiency with modern C++ development for application layer SW: OOP design, RAII/templates, testability, and efficiency on constrained systems.</strong></li> <li><strong>Python and shell scripting for tooling and test automation.</strong></li> <li><strong>Real-time development experience (RTOS and bare-metal) with a clear understanding of scheduling, interrupts, timing analysis, and concurrency.</strong></li> <li><strong>Strong debugging skills (JTAG/SWD, logic analysers, oscilloscopes) and comfort profiling performance under limited CPU/RAM/power budgets.</strong></li> <li><strong>Fully proficient in English (the spoken language in our office)</strong></li> <li><strong>Proficiency with Git and Linux-based development environments.</strong></li> <li><strong>Must be able to obtain security clearance in Sweden</strong></li> </ul><h2>Desired Qualifications</h2><ul> <li><strong>STM32 experience (HAL/LL) and secure/OTA-capable bootloaders.</strong></li> <li><strong>Embedded networking.</strong></li> <li><strong>CI/CD (hardware-in-the-loop, regression testing).</strong></li> <li><strong>Safety/quality standards exposure (e.g., DO-178C, IEC-61508/ISO-26262, SIL levels).</strong></li> <li><strong>Aerospace/defence domain experience</strong></li> </ul><ul> </ul>
