About the role
- Responsible for managing Cost Accounting, Pricing, Daily Production Recap, and related operational analysis and accounting functions.
- Manage cost accounting staff.
- Oversee and ensure accurate daily completion of cost sheets, cost plus pricing, and daily recap report.
- Complete various monthly reports, analyses, and graphs.
- Provide financial and cost analysis with an emphasis on accurate product costing, inventory valuation, pricing decisions, and supporting contract negotiations.
- Develop, maintain, improve, and audit cost accounting related processes and internal controls.
- Partner with all departments to provide cross-functional support and leadership to improve cost control and accuracy.
- Present recommendations to management on short- and long-term objectives and policies.
- Provide needed information for the annual external audit.
- Other duties assigned by Manager.
- Cost accounting background with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration or related job experience.
- 5 years or more of related experience required.
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
