Job Title: LibertyWorks System Design Engineer
Working Pattern: Fulltime
Working location: Indianapolis, IN
We’re looking for a System Design Engineer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on flagship RR programs and play an important role in addressing some of the most complex and interesting technological challenges in Defense.
As an SDI engineer, you will work closely with the program Engineering leadership team to support the delivery of whole system functionality.
In this role, you will coordinate activities across stakeholders to define, manage and meet interdependencies between systems, subsystems and components that meet requirements. You will build engineering and architecture models to conduct technical assessments and recommendations that inform key technical decisions.

What you will be doing
With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:
- Optimize the functional and physical interactions within a prototype demonstrator module and with the customer platform
- Apply systems engineering and robust design tools and techniques to resolve technical problems
- Design and integration of products, systems, and components
- Develop math models of functional systems, and ensure system-level design functionality within the project design process
- Define and verify requirements for products, systems, and components
- Lead, coordinate, and influence interdisciplinary subsystem teams to solve complex problems, manage requirements, manage interfaces, and deliver system solutions.
- Progress system through gated reviews. Support or lead risk assessments, design reviews, safety reviews, regulatory reviews, and technical audits from a functional aspect.
- Participate in the system verification strategy development, validation & verification test planning, and test execution activities
- Planning and management of product change, design technical approval and technical investigations.

Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2+ years of experience; OR
- Master’s degree in Engineering; OR
- JD/PhD in Engineering
- Systems Engineering / Systems Integration experience
- In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which requires USA Citizenship
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with Systems Engineering concepts
- Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering, including the tools and methods used
- Experience with delivering systems in a fast-paced environment, from initial requirements and concepts to final hardware delivery
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
