Position Summary:

ChannelAdvisor is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Financial Analyst. Supporting the Financial Planning & Analysis team, our chosen candidate will be involved in the development of our long range plan as well as recurring activities such as forecasting, budgeting, analysis, and SLT/Board meeting support. In addition, the position will provide strategic decision support to the Financial Planning and Analysis team. This individual will also lead process improvement initiatives and champion the team’s planning and budgeting application, Net Suite Planning and Budgeting (Hyperion).

 

Responsibilities: 

• Support monthly close and forecast cycles, as well as Annual Budget and long term planning
• Be the source for departmental expense and headcount tracking and reporting
• Collaborate with functional leadership to achieve strategic goals within budgetary guidelines
• Act as subject matter expert for budgeting and forecasting tool and use this expertise to create and grow the company’s business intelligence capacity
• Lead the adoption and implementation of new features and capabilities
• Design reporting that effectively measures performance, highlights areas of concerns, and supports decision making
• Ensure consistent reporting and data integrity between the budgeting tool and other software applications such as SQL, Tableau, NetSuite and Salesforce

 

Requirements:

• 4 - 7 years experience in a finance/accounting role, preferably in a SaaS or software environment
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills
• Experience with planning and budgeting solutions (Planful, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Tagetik, Prophix, Hyperion, etc.)
• Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce strongly preferred
• Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools, Microsoft SQL Server or Microsoft Access a plus
• Analytical problem-solver with excellent data analysis skills who uses data to tell the story
• Experience working with large amounts of data, aggregating data into meaningful results, form trends, and communicating those results in a clear, compelling manner
•  Comfortable managing multiple, competing priorities
• Enthusiastic about taking on challenging projects and working diligently to see them through
