Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Project Management Specialist - Senior (Level 4) to join a Proprietary Air Dominance Team based in Hazelwood, MO located in the St. Louis area.

This position is for a Risks, Issues, and Opportunities (RIO) Lead reporting directly on program. A successful candidate will have familiarity partnering in cross-functional teams as well as experience in RIO management. 

In this role you will support the program by managing Program-level RIO activities and facilitate collaboration within and between IPTs on IPT-level RIO activities. You will manage the agenda for program-level RIO boards. You will support IPTs with their IPT-level RIO boards. You will collaborate with customer counterparts on reporting out RIO status. You will be called upon to brief senior managers, program leadership, and external customers. Secondary responsibilities include helping Program Management problem-solve emergent issues and project-manage special projects supporting the program.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide RIO management in support of the program
  • Lead implementation and execution of the RIO Management Plan
  • Provide RIO training consistent with the program RIO Management Plan to program personnel
  • Monitor and improve RIO quality in the program Risk Register
  • Coordinate with customer stakeholders
  • Manage internal program-level RIO Boards, including coordinating weekly agendas and presentation needs with RIO item owners/managers
  • Coordinate program RIO operating rhythm, organizational construct, and processes; adjust them as needed to improve RIO execution
  • Generate performance metrics to track program level progress in tracking technical, cost, and schedule risks
  • Reports directly to Program Integration Office

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.

This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • More than 3 years of Boeing RIO experience
  • More than 3 years of experience with the implementation and use of Program Management Best Practices
  • Experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
  • Active Secret level Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience supporting program EVM and EAC management
  • Experience working with Department of Defense (DoD)
  • Experience with data visualization

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
