The Senior Manager, Clinical Content is a remote role responsible for creating, maintaining and optimizing the delivery of oncology clinical content that supports The US Oncology Network and McKesson. This role ensures accuracy, continuity, and responsiveness of clinical content including management of a large regimen template library, creation and maintenance of oncology content delivered through digital clinical decision support tools, oversight of P&T committee outputs, and development of educational programs to advance community oncology practice.

The Senior Manager operates as a hands-on oncology content expert and program owner, balancing day-to-day clinical execution with structured project management, stakeholder communication, and data-informed decision-making. This role functions with a high degree of autonomy and contributes to the planning, execution, and sustained growth of clinical content programs as Network needs evolve.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Content Development and Analytics

  • Partner with internal committees to establish and maintain best practices for safe drug administration within technology platforms and provide education on key oncology drug therapy trends.

  • Create, analyze, and maintain detailed oncology regimen library templates within the iKnowMed electronic health record to ensure clinical accuracy, consistency, and scalability.

  • Lead development, review, and ongoing maintenance of assigned disease-specific pathways in collaboration with physician committees and NCCN representatives, including evidence-based literature review, financial analysis of drugs and regimens, and clear synthesis of findings for task force decision-making.

  • Utilize medical writing expertise to develop and maintain clinical tools that support clinical care.

  • Lead the creation and update of disease‑based clinical treatment algorithms and regimen mapping for digital clinical decision support tools, ensuring both clinical and technical accuracy.

  • Collaborate with IT, clinical leaders, and cross‑functional stakeholders to develop and implement clinical content that meets evolving business and operational requirements.

  • Identify new or changing clinical requirements (e.g., staging, biomarkers, disease attributes) and lead communication and update processes with IT and decision support stakeholders to ensure accurate EHR and content mapping.

  • Analyze, maintain, and support updates to clinical program metrics and reporting, including leading updates in response to changes in oncology practice, program scope, or business needs.

Project Management

  • Utilize project management skills to design and execute clinical initiatives aligned to Network priorities.

  • Lead projects within team and across other business unit teams, influencing outcomes and driving progress regardless of direct reporting relationships.

  • Independently own assigned clinical programs from initiation through implementation, consistently meeting agreed‑upon goals, timelines, and success criteria.

  • Partner with analytics and operations teams to support clinical data reporting and quality improvement initiatives tied to program performance and Network needs.

  • Analyze clinical workflows and electronic health record data to identify opportunities for optimization, engagement, or enhancement of clinical content programs.

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve standard operating procedures and documentation to support consistency, scalability, and knowledge transfer across clinical programs.

  • Post-doctorate pharmacy residency strongly preferred.

  • Board certification preferred, with Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist, strongly preferred.
