Summer Kitting Associate

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm

McLane Global is looking for a kitting associate to assist in packing and repacking of goods. Hand build or Automated Assembly line, labeling products, repackaging, and palletizing. Also, will be checking expiration dates on product labels, and occasionally working in a freezer. 

• Organize and maintain a clean work area for the safety of yourself and fellow co-workers. 
• Operating a machine to fabricate various parts and combine them together as they come off the assembly line with the purpose of constructing product components or entire products. 
• Packaging goods to protect product during transport, distribution, and storage. 
• Product labeling to provide a simple means of communicating product information to customers (May take place in freezer) 
• Repackaging and palletizing to pack products for shipment, storage, and easier inventory control 
• Checking for outdated products to ensure the product retains its strength, quality, and purity when it is stored. 
• Hand pick products for packaging to meet our customers' needs in a timely, efficient, and pleasant way.
• Operate a pallet jack to transport small loads for short distances.
• Shrink wrapping to keep our products from environmental damage such as dirt, dust, or weathering.

Requirements

• Team player with organizational skills
• Dependable, self-motivated, professional 
• Excellent work ethic and a POSITIVE attitude 
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English fluently.

Working Conditions (Include Physical Demands)  

• Must be able to transport up to 50lb. 
• Must be able to Stoop, kneel, Crouch and Crawl   
• Must be able to Climb (Stairs/Ladders)  
• Must be able to perform duties in ambient warehouse. (Hazardous materials, loud noise, or extreme heat/cold)  
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -5 Fahrenheit/-21 Celsius in cold storage area while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
• Ability to walk (move) consistently for up to 8 hours.
