Those filling these rewarding, full-time positions will be part of a team responsible for the operation and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and/or process control at water and wastewater facilities.  Woodard & Curran has a phenomenal opportunity to join our Customer Service Department team at our Public Water Supply District #2 / East Central Missouri Project. We are looking for a Utility Worker who be responsible for locating underground utilities, changing meters, assisting customer service work orders, and other customer service-related job duties. Schedule:  Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:00 pm with rotating on call.

What will you be doing at Woodard & Curran?

  • Responsible for the installation of water meters in the district
  • Meeting with customers about issues on water and sewer 
  • Manage water meter inventory
  • Trouble Shooting (Routes, Water Quality Issues) 
  • On Call Rotation 
  • Read meters
  • Maintains communication with project personnel 
  • Performs preventive maintenance on equipment  
  • Perform utility locates 
  • Oversee water district taps 
  • Perform service orders 
  • Preforms water/sewer tap inspections 
  • Gps water/sewer inspections 
  • Understands the districts rules and regulations 
  • Complies with all company Health and Safety procedures

What will you need to succeed?

  • Proficiency with computers, including the ability to work with, Microsoft Word, Excel, Maintenance Management Programs, and other job-related specific systems
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent  
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the operation of customer service
  • Possess and maintains, as a minimum, a valid DS 1 water License issued by the State of Missouri 
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License
