Executive Director Internal Audit (69909)

JOB SUMMARY

Takes lead responsibility for and provides direction for overall planning, organizing and completion of the systematic audits of Hamilton Health Care System (System) operations including the development and continuous review of internal audit scope and audit programs, evaluation of financial and operating controls and monitoring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.  Provides guidance and directions on financial matters and concerns and may help to oversee the external audit process. Prepare and presents reports that reflect audit results and document process.  Responsible for periodic reporting to Finance and Audit Committee of the Vitruvian Health Care System board.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.  (Master’s Degree preferred)

Licensure: CPA or Certified Internal Auditor, preferred

Experience: Seven or more years in public accounting field performing audits for hospital or intermediaries or internal audit experience in health care setting

Skills: Demonstrative abilities in analysis, communication, leadership and management.  Must be able to communicate (verbal and written) effectively with department director, senior management and board members.

Technical: Advanced computer skills in MS Office and data bases.
