Right now it's all about you.</p><p></p><p>As a Senior Data Engineer at Bizzy, you’ll play a critical role in building and optimizing the data infrastructure that powers our innovative B2B intelligence platform. You’ll work with a talented team to extract data, design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ensuring reliable data flow and supporting analytics, AI, and business initiatives. Your entrepreneurial mindset will drive creative solutions to complex data needs. #LeadTheWay</p></li><li><p><strong>Infrastructure:</strong> Design our data architecture, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable data pipelines to manage Bizzy’s data flow, connecting diverse data sources to deliver value to our customers.</p></li><li><p><strong>Data governance and quality assurance:</strong> Ensure data integrity and consistency by implementing efficient data processing and governance measures throughout our whole company. Maintain a proactive focus on continuous improvement and high data quality standards.</p></li><li><p><strong>Cross-team collaboration:</strong> Work closely with the other data engineers, full stack engineers, and product managers to align data solutions with business and customer needs.</p></li><li><p><strong>Prioritize</strong> and highlight structural data infrastructure projects within our company, influencing decision makers to strategise around these key data projects, creating time for implementation.</p></li><li><p><strong>Automating data processes:</strong> Develop and maintain tools for automated data validation, transformation, and monitoring to ensure high data quality and efficiency.</p></li><li><p><strong>Mentorship:</strong> Share your expertise and support the growth of other engineers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and growth. #CandidCandor #UnitedByGrowth</p></li></ul> <h3>Requirements</h3> <p>To excel it in this role, you should have/be</p><p></p><ul><li><p><strong>Proven data engineering expertise:</strong> At least 5 years of experience in designing and maintaining large-scale data systems, preferably in data-rich platforms like Bizzy.</p></li><li><p><strong>Deep technical knowledge:</strong> Proficiency with distributed data processing languages (PySpark), databases (MySQL), and data lakes (Databricks). Experience with scraping processes is a bonus (Typescript).</p></li><li><p><strong>Strong data modeling experience:</strong> Ability to design effective data models, build workflows, and manage data warehousing strategies.</p></li><li><p><strong>Experience in cloud-based data solutions:</strong> Familiarity with platforms such as Google Cloud to build and manage data solutions at scale.</p></li><li><p><strong>Analytical thinker and problem-solver:</strong> Strong skills in identifying and addressing data-related challenges, with a solution-oriented mindset.</p></li><li><p><strong>Team-oriented:</strong> You thrive in collaborative settings, ensuring clear communication and knowledge-sharing. You have proven experience in team coaching and you know how to influence your team in the right direction.</p></li><li><p><strong>Goal-setting and reporting:</strong> You have the ability to set up KPIs for your team. You can rally a team around goals and get them to the finish line.
