Azurity is seeking a dynamic and financially skilled Senior Director of Government, Contracts & Pricing. This role reports to the Vice President of Market Access and Strategic Accounts and will serve as the functional lead for Azurity’s Commercial and Government Contracting Strategy and Pricing Committee. The Senior Director, Government, Contracts and Pricing will be working with a diverse portfolio, across the various US government and commercial payer systems.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development and structure of all pricing documents for presentation to the Pricing Committee
  • Provide guidance to senior leadership on performance, business risks and opportunities
  • Collaborate with Marketing Team to ensure overall contracting strategies are in alignment with brand strategies
  • Develop value driven, pricing guidelines to apply across product lines that optimize access and profitability
  • Lead efforts to create and manage dashboards to report on key performance metrics, status and timelines for action against existing and future contracts
  • Partner with Strategic Account Directors to advise on negotiations with their customers for profitable business, protecting Gross to Net (GTN)
  • Oversee the contract development process, including pre and post-deal analysis, tracking and reporting
  • Oversee the payment of rebates and fees, including analysis and auditing of invoices
  • Collaborate with Finance and Commercial Ops, to ensure appropriate forecasting of list price, discounts and allowances to accurately report gross to net, including statutory government price calculations
  • Subject matter expert on ASP based Pricing Models, Medicaid, Medicare, PHS/340B and VA/DOD pricing calculations
  • Analyze and report performance against contracts to ensure compliance with agreed upon metrics and report to internal teams during regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Advanced degree a plus
  • 10+ years' experience within the commercial pharmaceuticals/biotech industry with 5+ years working in a pricing and contracting analysis role.
  • Strong business acumen and contracting experience with diverse payment models- GPO contracting experience a plus
  • Current and relevant understanding of the market access landscape impacting pharmaceuticals, including headwinds, recent and impending legislation, government payment models and trends impacting providers and payers
  • Organized business management style with attention to detail
  • Comfortable presenting complex information with clarity and be receptive to challenges to assumptions
  • High degree of integrity and ethics and support of Azurity’s core values
