SummaryThe Assistant Branch Manager supports the Branch Manager in overseeing daily operations, staff, and overall performance of the Geotechnical, Environmental, Building Inspection, and Construction Services Department. The ideal candidate ensures customer satisfaction, improving operational efficiency, achieving sales targets, and assisting in managing and mentoring staff. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to resolve issues while maintaining a positive work environment.

Physical Demands & Work Environment•Required to drive, stand, walk, use hands to type, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; talk and hear. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Branch Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Supervise branch activities, including customer service, sales and administrative tasks.
  • Monitor and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Build and maintain relationship with clients and stakeholders
  • Identify and purse opportunities for new business development
  • Assist in hiring, training, and mentoring staff to ensure they meet performance standard
  • Delegate tasks to staff and monitor performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed
  • Help maintain a positive, motivated and collaborative work environment
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with team members and assist their professional development
  • Assist the Branch Manager in achieving branch sales targets and managing budgets
  • Monitor financial performance, including revenue generation and cost control
  • Contribute to the development of sales strategies to attract new clients and increase market share
  • Support marketing initiatives to promote the branch's products and services
  • Ensure the branch is operating in compliance with local regulations, industry standards and company policies
  • Assist with audits and inspections to ensure compliance and resolve any discrepancies
  • Identify potential risks to the branch's operations and implement corrective actions to mitigate those risks
  • Prepare and submit reports on branch performance, including sales, customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
  • Analyze metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement and opportunities for growth
  • Provide the Branch Manager with insights and recommendations for operational and strategic improvements
  • Other duties may be assigned
