This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a CAD Drafter, you will be responsible for:

• Prepare accurate construction drawings, models, and technical documents for new pharmaceutical laboratory facilities and renovations to existing spaces.
• Convert detailed technical solutions and design concepts into CAD models and derive related construction drawings.
• Revise and update drawings or CAD models in response to engineer or architect instructions.
• Ensure all drawings comply with established CAD and construction documentation standards.
• Support internal project managers by preparing suitable models for calculations, dimensioning, and technical reviews.
• Assist the project team by producing visualizations, renderings, or drawing packages that clearly communicate design intent.
• Maintain organized drawing files, version control, and documentation for ongoing and completed projects.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure design feasibility and constructability.

• Experience in commercial construction design requirements (mechanical, electrical, plumbing considerations).
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical laboratory design requirements (preferred)
• Experience with 3D modeling, BIM and visualization tools. (preferred)
• You can work independently and within a group / team environment
• You can apply advanced skills to resolve complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices independently
• You have good PC skills (MS Office software like Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, AutoCAD)

Required skills to have for the success of this role

• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a CAD Drafter in construction drawings, preferably with experience in laboratory, healthcare, or technical facility design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit or other BIM tools a strong plus).
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and documentation standards.
• Experience working with preexisting facilities and incorporating new designs into existing infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret and apply engineer/architect sketches, notes, and specifications into detailed drawings.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
