Job Summary:

The EVS Project Manager oversees new account start-ups or special projects and may act in an interim management role for open positions. Responsibilities include planning, directing, and monitoring project activities, managing timelines, and ensuring successful execution. This role also provides operational support at accounts when not engaged in start-up activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Define project scope and objectives in collaboration with senior management.
  • Develop detailed work plans and schedules for project completion.
  • Allocate resources effectively and revise schedules as needed.
  • Execute projects according to plan and monitor progress.
  • Maintain documentation and electronic records for all project activities.
  • Communicate project status to internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Review quality of work daily and provide reports to Director of Project Management.
  • Monitor cash flow projections and report regularly to senior management.

Building Partnerships

  • Cultivate relationships with internal and external partners to establish trust and credibility.
  • Communicate project purpose, timelines, and deliverables clearly to stakeholders.
  • Navigate client organizations to build relationships and resolve issues.

General Responsibilities

  • Maintain professional appearance and compliance with hospital education and health requirements.
  • Participate in scheduled department meetings and complete annual competencies.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant management experience acceptable.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years in a leadership role within healthcare required.
  • Preferred: Acute care setting experience and managing unionized workforce.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and other business software.
  • Ability to prioritize, work independently, and resolve problems effectively.

Certifications/Training:

  • Fire Safety
  • Blood Borne Pathogens
  • Hand Hygiene
  • Infection Control
  • Chemical Safety and Usage

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs; occasional bending, squatting, and climbing.
  • Exposure to healthcare environments, cleaning chemicals, and infection control protocols.
