This Principal Windows System Administrators based in Plano, TX will collaborate with many teams to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.
What You Will Do
- Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
- Windows Server management fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
- Provide advanced support on L2/L3 tickets and troubleshoot technical issues reported by users.
- Administer and optimize virtualization platforms.
- SharePoint administration to include create and manage sites, manage sharing settings, manage groups, and manage site storage limits.
- Work extensively with SharePoint to support content management and collaboration needs.
- Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
- Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
- Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
- Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
- Travel is required to other US Domestic locations as business needs dictate up to 10% travel.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience
- Must have active and transferable U.S. government issued top security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Must have experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server and client operating systems.
- Must have SharePoint administration experience.
- Must have experience in one or more of the following: VMware vCenter, vSphere, VDI (Horizon), ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
- Scripting experience
- Experience with developing documentation and communicate technical processes.
