Apply now!</p> <p>We are looking for a Senior DevOps engineer to join the infrastructure team for cloud operations at SAP. </p> <p>This team is building next-generation infrastructure, thus enabling the company transition to public cloud infrastructure. </p> <p>This is an exciting time for those who are looking to help with this transition. </p> <p> </p> <p>What you’ll do</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Lead the process of moving applications from development to production and make sure our products run smoothly in production. </li> <li>Oversee setting up tools that will empower teams to release and maintain applications autonomously.</li> <li>Analyze and harden existing infrastructure, monitoring capabilities, application coding, and DevOps processes.</li> <li>Ensure the systems we build limit exposure to single points of failure and security vulnerabilities. </li> <li>Learn about hyperscale environments such as AWS, GCP, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud and ensure products run reliably and optimally in these environments.</li> <li>Participate in 24x7 shift rotation supporting production and non-production databases, including day shift and night shift. </li> <li>Provide timely response to system alerts and participate in the on-call schedule if required.</li> <li>Customer focus driven, highly motivated &amp; Flexible. </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>What you bring</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline that provides a solid background in software development.</li> <li>Knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.</li> <li>A detail-oriented, customer-centric approach.</li> <li>Fluency both written and spoken in English, Fluency both written and spoken in English</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Tech you bring</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Proficient knowledge and administration experience in either of the DB flavours like SAP MAXDB, HANA or MySQL.</li> <li>Experience of working in large landscape/environment where multiple database flavors are running. </li> <li>Hands on experience with expert knowledge of Unix/Linux flavors w.r.t Database. </li> <li>Previous experience on other RDBMS flavors is an added advantage </li> <li>Should be capable of Owning, Leading and coordinate operational tasks, customer escalations, process improvements </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Tech you'll learn</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Evaluate and implement database technologies and utilities</li> <li>Analyze resources usage (Infra and Database), analyze growth patterns</li> <li>Perform Capacity planning for the Database Infrastructure </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Meet your team</p> <p><br/> Human Experience Management (HXM) allows businesses to connect with their employees and drive purpose and passion in the people responsible for driving business outcomes.
