About the Team

We are a Machine Learning team based in San Francisco enabling real-time insights across Workday’s applications. Our focus is on the practical application of search, data science, machine learning and distributed computing. Our products help the world’s largest organizations make strategic decisions about their people and finances. Every team is a proud service owner, responsible for development, quality, and production support.

About the Role

As a Senior Associate Data Analyst, you will be responsible for annotating high-quality customized training data for machine learning models. Your goal is to continuously provide advanced human-in-the-loop learning datasets so that the Product and Engineering teams can build products that deliver high value to our customers. A successful candidate will have a passion for making Workday products better and an eagerness to learn and grow with a team of dedicated Data Analysts, ML Translators, and Data Annotation Specialists.

Major Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor and improve dataset quality through the use of internal data tools
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams to identify and tackle sophisticated problems
• Perform analysis to proactively identify data concerns and conduct research to resolve the best course of correction
• Provide regular status updates for internal tools and processes to improve product quality
• Onboard and mentor new hires to ensure successful onboarding and long term career development
• Develop data annotation documentation standards and processes
• Work on ad-hoc projects and requests as needed

About You

Basic Qualifications:

• 1 or more years’ experience in data related field

Other Qualifications

• Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working with competing priorities
• Ability to show judgement and initiative to accomplish job duties
• Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of education and meaningful work experience
• Passion for data and quality assurance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
