Job Description Summary
D Shift - Mash mixing deck operator
This position operates and adjusts all process equipment Mash line for smooth and productive operations; monitors lineflow and waste; corrects problems which affect quality and production costs; and makes line changes as directed by the production lead or team leader.
Job Description
Obtain work schedule and daily production paperwork, report to the assigned line, complete walk through and prepare for operations.
Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear and perform a safety check on equipment to be used in daily operations and ensure that all safety devices are functioning properly.
Check schedule, work orders and bulk product inventory, take oil, blancher and finished product samples to lab as required.
Monitor the blancher and fryer, complete walk through, take samples, make adjustments, check drains and magnets as required.
Manually dump and / or scoop ingredients and condiments into hoppers according to recipe and pump oil from fryer as required.
Keep the work area clear and clean, hose down area, sweep / shovel up spills, empty trash and replace liners.
At end of shift, secure all equipment, complete all required paperwork, perform general housekeeping and wet clean-up as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Education/ Certifications: (Required & Preferred)
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
Lock-out/Tag-out, Forklift, and Sanitation certification are required. If you are not qualified, you will be trained and must meet certification requirements.
Skills and Experience:
Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing. Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral. (Requirement may vary by location).
Experience driving forklift in warehouse or manufacturing establishment preferred.
