Job Summary:
As an HR Generalist, your role encompasses various functions within the human resources department, serving as a versatile professional who handles multiple aspects of employee relations and organizational development.

Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field required.
- Minimum five (5) years experience in Human Resources
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, vendors, and other employees of the organization
- Strong continuous improvement orientation: experience with lean manufacturing principles preferred, root cause problem resolution and process improvement
Job Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Assist the recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation.
- Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new employees into the manufacturing environment.
- Employee Relations:
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, concerns, and grievances.
- Assist HR Manager investigate and resolve employee relations issues in a timely and confidential manner, maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
- Performance Management:
- Assist in the development and implementation of performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback mechanisms.
- Provide coaching and support to managers and employees on performance improvement strategies and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Training and Development:
- Collaborate with department managers to identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Coordinate and facilitate training sessions on topics such as safety, compliance, and professional development.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation, including personnel files, attendance records, and training records.
- Review and finalize payroll data, submit payroll changes, and coordinate with GBS payroll department.
